As a member of the Board of Education, I offer a 26 year history of leadership in municipal government and human services coupled with extensive community involvement and volunteerism. My background and experience will enable me to bring leadership and consensus building skills to the issues facing Stratford’s schools.

President and CEO, United Way of Norwalk & Wilton           1989 – Present

CEO of a $2.6 million nationally recognized United Way with 150 active volunteers and staff providing community services in partnership with 85 local organizations.  Two current focus areas include (1) school readiness and elementary school success and (2) healthy development of middle and high school students. Former faculty member, National Center for Community Leadership, Alexandria, VA.

Adjunct Professor; Online Curriculum Developer, Sacred Heart University  1996 - 2003

Part time professor in the undergraduate Leadership Studies Program as well as developed and taught on-line courses for Bachelor degree students.

Director, Human Services, Town of Westport, CT                                             1981 – 1989

Municipal department head responsible for delivering broad range of services to families, children, youth, and older adults with a staff of 13 in four sites including two senior centers and a youth center.
